What is Embroidery?
Embroidery is a premium branding method for fabric products such as clothing, caps, bags, and other textiles. It offers a high perceived value and a unique, slightly raised effect that other processes can’t replicate. The logo is created by stitching threads directly onto the fabric using computerised embroidery machines. First, the logo must be digitised, allowing the machine to understand how to stitch it. Each garment or item is manually "hooped" and loaded into the machine, and the stitch count—based on the complexity of the logo—determines the final cost. The more stitches, the higher the price.
Advantages
- Cost-Effective Setup: One setup fee per position, with up to 15 thread colours included.
- Premium Finish: High perceived value and quality, perfect for creating a lasting impression.
- Subtle Branding: Can be subtle when placed on garment sleeves or using tone-on-tone stitching.
Limitations
- PMS Colour Matching: Only approximate matches are possible, as thread colours are selected from available options.
- Detail Limitations: Not suitable for fine details or font sizes smaller than 4mm.
- No Gradients: Shading or gradients cannot be reproduced with embroidery.
- Size Restrictions: Limited to smaller logo sizes, making it less suitable for large designs.
